Building a Dream
“What are the dreams that lie deep within your heart?”
I was silent as I repeated it again and again on the inside...
Hmmm…I thought “Have I forgotten how to dream.” has some of life disappointment kept me from dreaming? Just going to work, paying the bills, just getting through has put all my dreams on the back burner?
Really, has helping others reach for theirs left my own out of reach? OH! God have I really lost it? The dust of day-to-day living can bury them…do I need a refresher course on ‘How to build a dream?’ And somehow in the midst of all this a new dream has been born. Sometime the very seed to a new dream is a cry to God.
Have faith, faith in yourself and in God who has allowed this little midst to take place. Preserve what dream you’ve buried beneath the rubble of life…it time to take it out, dust it off, find a new one whatever you do find the time to regenerate what lies deep within your heart.
It’s easy to let it slip away remembering those shared long walks with the one person who has always encourages you to build those dreams. Amazingly, how we’ve let the daily dust piles up and even allowing our own soul-mate to paint the colors of our dreams.
“Have you forgotten the picture?”
Now it’s the time to start putting a name on that picture. Created it, write it down, what comes from the midst is the seed from God who has place them in your heart. It will go beyond, acquiring of bigger, better and more then in the depth of your own being. You will be a better person and fulfilling your world a better place to living.
Start building your D R E A M
D – Define
and Identify it and where you need to go. Get more education if that’s where it needed to be specific about a particular course. Maybe it’s starting your own business pinpoint exactly what you would do.
The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing!
R - Resource
do your homework. Find out what it takes to make happen what you want to happen. Where is your course offered? How much does it cost? Is there a market niche for the business you want to start? Can you practically get to the need you wish to help meet? Evaluate the risk.
Persevere.
E - Equip yourself
Start a savings account for your dream and put in pennies if that’s all you have today. Register for one course. Write up a business plan.
Many dreams go by the wayside because no one ever took that first step. Make a choice today.
A – Apply yourself
Dreams take hard work and often sacrifice. You will have to say “no” to some things in order to pursue your dream.
Don’t let regret of yesterday or fear of tomorrow rob you of pursuing your dream today!
M – Manage yourself.
Know your priorities and stick to them. Many things will call you away from your dream.
The God who created us put our deepest desires within our hearts. He calls us to persevere. He calls us to ask for wisdom from Him and to walk in faith. He reminds us that when we are double minded we are unstable in every way.
Put your hope in God today. Know He has your very best interest at heart. Accept His love and His forgiveness. Choose to be single-minded in allowing God to share your journey of life with you. You will not be disappointed in having Him guide you through the maze of life.
